What is Reiki?

Dr. Mikao Usui in the 20th century discovered Reiki, thus Usui Reiki after the founder. It originated in Japan as an alternative health approach. It does not directly cure disease or illness, so please continue to see your health care provider. Reiki is very beneficial to assist in managing symptoms of the disease. By now we all know the harmful side effects stress does to our bodies. Reiki allows relaxation of your body to reduce stress naturally. This may assist your own body’s natural ability to heal itself.

The Reiki practitioner either places their hands on you or close to you in a relaxing environment to allow the natural energy healing of Reiki to flow. Typical sessions last about 60 minutes, however more or less are offered based on what you feel you need.
